I got this HDTV which is supposed to be verrry good. So far I'm not happy with the motion blur caused by sports such as watching an nba game, soccer, football...etc.
Can someone please tell me if there's some settings I may be missing? Could it be a bad cable (doubt it) from my receiver to the directv box. I've tried changing a lot of the settings and no luck.
Any input is much appreciated. 1/16/2011 2:49:17 AM |

Its prolly got to do with the response time for the screen.. do you know what it is? it is usually represented in ms.. the lower the better.. it is not something that can be adjusted.. 1/16/2011 8:13:06 AM |

my friend just got a 55" LED samsung and was also saying that he was noticing some jitter when stuff is moving, and wasn't sure if it was normal. I haven't gone by to see it myself yet, but I never noticed anything like that with my couple year old Sony LCD.
have you seen other reviews or anything mentioning the issue? 1/16/2011 11:31:45 AM |

When it comes to motion on these, your settings that would impact that are likely dejudder (whatever samsung calls it) and some kind of smoothing (whatever samsung calls it). This creates/eliminates the 'soap opera' image vs a more 'cinema' image.
Not sure if this is exactly what youre talking about, but, give it a shot. 1/16/2011 1:29:53 PM |

^I think Samsung calls it Motion Plus, and I would definitely recommend turning it off. If that doesn't fix it, it's probably the hardware of the tv, and can't be fixed. 1/16/2011 7:29:53 PM |

I've heard nothing but good things about Samsung. Do you have a particular problem with them or are you just some manner of brand snob? 1/16/2011 9:04:55 PM |

Haven't messed around with it yet but it has to be something I can adjust. This particular LED should be a very good one and have seen games on other 6300's that were just fine. 1/17/2011 8:45:45 PM |
