We went to Sushi Land in Portland last week.

Conveyor belt sushi restaurant.

the plates are color-coded and each color is different price.

It was cheap and good. Husband and I were able to stuff ourselves w/ sushi and drink 1 bottle of sake for $17

^^ Because when I went their fish was definitely off. I don't mean like they just had a lot of junk in their rolls, the fish was not fresh by any stretch of the imagination. I considered sending two of my rolls back but we had limited time and didn't want to make my friends wait. I would not be surprised at all to learn that they were defrosting and refreezing their fish or something, because that's the only way I can really think of to end up with fish the texture they had.

I tried to look up their sanitation grade just now but Wake's website is shitting the bed when I click on the search.

I was seriously thinking while not eating my sushi, "Oh god, what if this place is just Ten Ten in disguise!"

I ended up probably throwing half the sushi away. If it hadn't been BOGO I probably would have asked for a comp.

I am always craving it. I hit up half priced sushi up here and still managed to have a $70 tab after drinks and tip were thrown in. This bill was for two of us so not too bad but we did order a shit ton of half priced rolls, I owed him for helping me move a few months back.
