I'm looking for something to treat roundworms specifically, or a broad-spectrum wormer for adult cats.

The clinic I used to work at sold drontal basically over the counter. It was technically a prescription product, but anyone who called up the vet and said I've seen worms, got it with no exam or visit required.

shouldn't it be dewormer? or are you trying to put the cat on one of those new-age diets?

^tapeworm diets have been around for centuries.

both petsmart & petco sell dewormers. i don't know if one brand is better than the other.

ewwww

no baths??? & i'd say having a 30' tapeworm in your intestine could probably have some ill effects...

^ hahaha it's referring to special "diet baths" that snake oil salesmen would tout back in those days. Definitely sounds gross without that context though

No one is saying ivermectin is a bad drug. It's a great drug for its intended purpose as an anti-parasitic. It's not an anti-viral drug, so what is actually the point of using it for that against all advice? Also, what's the point of paying $300 for a version of it formulated and dosed for much larger animals while resisting a vaccine fit for purpose which is effectively free to you? Many of the people making these decisions are not in a financial position to be doing this, to say nothing of the medical aspects.

Yes, I'm aware, and yes, I do.

Did you know Alfred Nobel invented Dynamite for humans to use? You should try using that to cure COVID. Insert into any bodily orifice and light the fuse. COVID will stand no chance of killing you.
