^^ a slew of things I don't have the time and/or reliable ability to do myself on this bike. The virago was one thing but id shoot myself if I jacked this bike up.

Main thing is a scheduled valve reseat but I want to clean and tune the carbs to the V&H pipes, replace the stem bearings and figure out why my front rotor is lightly rubbing. One or two other little shits while it's under the wrench

[Edited on January 23, 2011 at 11:42 AM. Reason : also i need it turned over in no more than a few days]

carb bikes aren't anything special, I'd go to combustion cycle in durham. north raleigh is better than g-town

Every experience I and anyone else I have talked to has been horrible with them.

Parts being on back order and them never telling you. Giving you attitudes when you ask about simple maintenance questions ("Why don't you just bring it in to us so we can do it right"). Standing around for 10 minutes while the parts guys are chit chatting on the phone cussing up a storm at the same time. Very unprofessional place.

Their parts guy even pulled out of a parking lot in front of me almost causing a wreck and then proceeded to scream and yell at me at the next stoplight like it was MY fault. That was when they lost me as a customer. I was very happy to see they are now out of business.

It's a nice ride from Raleighwood, but I've had a good experience the couple times I've been to the Team Powersports in Smithfield. Never been enamored with the Garner one.

It's ok if rotor drags lightly. This work u need done u could learn to do urself. I don't trust any local motorcycle shops

yeah the rotor/brake work and some of the other stuff i could definitely do myself, but there's a couple things that I'm not confident enough to chance on this bike. since I honestly don't have any significant free time and this bike is my DD i need it all done at once and turned over quick.

Took it to the guys over at Toxic Customs (by ray price), cool dudes and they definitely know their way around these bikes. gonna drop it off tomorrow or friday, I'll let y'all know how it turns out.

Just picked it up today, insanely quick turnaround for everything I had done, would have been done on Friday if the mfr had sent the correct parts. Awesome guys and they did stellar work. I would DEFINITELY give these guys a shot first if you need any work done by someone who knows what they're doing.
