They have had a cupcake start to their ACC schedule.
Nobody they have played is over .500 in the ACC. They have beaten the T-8th(UVA), T-5th (VT/Clemson), and 11th(Miami) placed teams in the ACC and lost to GT who is also in the T-5 category. The two most difficult games they played (VT/Clemson) were at home.

As opposed to State who has played 3 out of the top 4 ACC teams (2 of those were on the road) along with Clemson on the road. Plus the two easy home games vs Miami and WF.


V you can be Negative Nancy and look at it that way, or take it as they probably aren't as good as their record. Especially considering:

State will lose this game from the start. I see UNC being up by 10 points 5 minutes into the game and then they slowly bury us.

UNC = 88
State = 69

The officiating will be one-sided as fuck as it always is at the Nose Dome, but it won't be the reason we lose.

We have a ton of freshman who can't wait to play this game. I have a strong feeling that the intensity will be there the whole game, unlike the last 2 gamse we've played. I'm sure UNC wins, but as always, I want us to pound the crap out of them.

Look for UNC to be "very physical" on rebounds and for it not to be called at all. It is an overall trend for UNC this year it seems like no one is willing to call even obvious over the back fouls on them. Last nights Miami game was horrible I can't imagine what it will be like at home.
This is the first year where I think we would actually have a chance if this turned into an up-tempo game.

Predictions:

Henson and gang will block the crap out of us, yet only get 1-2 fouls between them. Roy squats like he's taking a monster crap about 7 times during the game. We hear some kind of praise for Butch Davis and the football team due to all the adversity they faced during their season. We go on two 7 minute scoring droughts, one at the end of the first half and one during the middle of the second half. Barnes goes off for 21 points, and this game is shown each time they talk about him and the NBA Draft. I have to hear crap from my classmates that went to UNC for undergrad.
