Know its a long shot, but has anyone on this board been to Ranger School? I'm going in about a month, and any advice or pointers would be great.

My future brother-in-law was an army ranger... I feel like the only advice he would give is to man up and do whatever they tell you, and don't shoot any deer if they're on the firing range - but if you really want I can ask him

Hawthorne, go here http://armyranger.com/ for all questions you may have. Chances are, they have already been asked by others and answered by verified Rangers.

Also, a fair amount of googling would also provide you with many answers.

Thanks for the website, I'll check it out - I'm not worried about the suckage or the PT, all of that is mental. I'm looking at more of 'I wish I had packed this, or I wish I knew this better before going' kind of things.

Yeah...Ranger Creed...pretty sure that's what kept me from getting Company Honor Grad, I had to settle for Platoon Honor Grad. 24 days to memorize that sucker.

There are plenty of videos on Youtube of Ranger training. There's also a Discovery Channel special on it.

pre-ranger will set you up well, no need to worry. I'm a benning pre-ranger grad and that is a good program.
