with Snyder and both Nolans attached to it I will keep faith that this will be a good movie. However, superman has always been the least appealing superhero in my eyes so i'm pretty impartial about this casting and seeing as I don't watch the Tudors i don't know much about Henry Cavill.

Everyone shits on Superman Returns but I never thought it was that bad. I think the blame goes more toward Bosworth's butchering of Lois Lane and Spacey's over the top theatrics as Luthor than anything Routh did himself.

Superman was like my idol when I was younger (as in around age 5), so I would love to see this redone well. I like that Nolan is somehow involved. Superman Returns sucked compared to the real Superman movies with Reeve, but on its own wasn't the worst I've seen.

I don't know anything about the dude they cast as superman though so I will be skeptical.

i didn't have a problem with him lifting an entire island of kryptonite...b/c before he did it, he supercharged himself with the sun's energy and he almost died lifting the island anyway

Agreed on Superman Returns. I liked it. It wasn't quite on the same level as Christopher Reeve's first two movies but it was waaaaaaaaaaay better than Superman 3 and 4. Also, I'd say that the intro credits to Superman Returns are the best out there:

Vince Vaughn as Luthor? No. He's a comedian. They should just get Gene Hackman to reprise the roll. That would be bad-ass.

Loved the Dawn of the Dead remake. Enough small things (the game they played with the gun owner guy) that made it worthwhile.

Watchman was horrible. The 3 good minutes of sucker punch were whenever that old dude said some random shit.
