This seems vastly inferior to XKCD to me.

Not that it doesn't have it's own funniness, they are just not comparable comics.

XKCD wouldn't ever maker the error of insinuating so strongly that correlation=causation for example.

The proper term is "hypothesis" but it is correct

seriously though, it's not like XKCD deserved to be so obscure before its breakout strip, about the map of social-networking sites

EDIT: The likely "theory" that the hypothesis would fit into is that I'm not that adventurous about finding new webcomics and I only start reading one when I come across someone else posting about it, thereby leading me to try to spread it in the same way as I had come across it...
