They'll just add in a zip code system for the subnets, looks just like the port system.
so for Raleigh, port 210 it would be 910:123.198.135.018:210
It's simple. 2/9/2011 3:28:20 PM |

I just set up my IPv6 tunnel with DD-WRT and Hurricane Electric: http://www.tunnelbroker.net/
Unfortunately, routers with enough internal Flash memory (8MB) to handle a STD or bigger build (the only ones with IPv6 enabled) aren't cheap; without one, you'll need to forward Protocol 41 and do all the configuration and dynamic updates on your local computer, and that's no fun...

IPv6 is unnecessary, cumbersome, and needlessly complicated. It was conceived years before NAT.
Now that we have NAT, IPv6 doesn't need to happen, but too many entities have invested too much time and money into IPv6, and with governments being some of those entities, we're fucked. 2/18/2011 10:19:46 AM |

Does lewisje have an STD or not? 2/18/2011 12:44:53 PM |

^STD stands for "Standard"; it's the normal-sized build of DD-WRT Quote : | "IPv6 is unnecessary, cumbersome, and needlessly complicated. It was conceived years before NAT.
Now that we have NAT, IPv6 doesn't need to happen" | Don't come crying to me when your ISP has to resort to using NAT on its own end (some Russian ISPs already do this), and then you won't be able to port-forward so you can get torrents and some online games working
[Edited on February 18, 2011 at 12:46 PM. Reason : I hope I don't have an STD because I've never had S lol2/18/2011 12:45:28 PM |
