About a day or so ago, Facebook decided it wouldn't load in Chrome anymore. This morning, nothing will load in Chrome. A few websites -- including TWW and Facebook -- aren't loading in Firefox, though most others will. The only way I can access those sites is through Opera.
I've cleared browsing history, emptied cache and deleted cookies, and I've restarted the computer. I've run Norton 360 and Malwarebytes (both of which have updated virus/malware definitions).
Nothing seems to be working.
Any suggestions? (Other than "use Opera.") 2/27/2011 7:54:41 AM |

I had an issue the other day where Chrome was caught in an auto-restart loop. Had something to do with the latest Acrobat reader update. I had to close chrome, let the update run on its own, and restart twice before it worked again. 2/27/2011 9:40:26 AM |

Another idea is to ask the good folks at BleepingComputer, who will likely ask you to post a HijackThis log and may ask you to run ComboFix, which is even better at detecting rootkits than MalwareBytes. 2/27/2011 12:01:40 PM |

I've noticed chrome will be really slow to load and even the new tab page will not be shown for a long time when Chrome is auto updating. Check the About Menu option and it will state whether chrome is trying to perform an update. 2/27/2011 12:32:06 PM |
