That's because you don't use them properly.
You're supposed to be rubbing your hands together using a motion similar to if you were wiping the water off one hand with the other.
They used to have written directions that specified this, but the newer ones just have images where this isn't clear. 3/10/2011 6:22:12 PM |

Used the airblade at a few places (most in germany actually) Worked about as well as those super high speed ones, only bad thing about it is if you have big hands you can easily bump the sides, but then again you just washed em so shrug. 3/10/2011 6:31:57 PM |

the airblades suck. They usually deflect water droplets off my wrists and onto my clothes. Also, it's almost impossible to push your hands down without touching the sides. Look down into the lower crevice of that thing and its got some nasty dirt in it. 3/10/2011 9:35:54 PM |

[quote]the dyson hand dryers are epic.[quote] Several places in Las Vegas have them... They're good stuff, but sometimes I do prefer a paper towel. 3/10/2011 9:48:32 PM |

They have them in Sam's Club.
They suck and perform no better than any other air blower.
I'd rather just wash my hands and use my clothing to dry them if we're trying to save the environment.
I've lived my whole life doing it so I don't want to hear about germs.
I'm immune bitches. 3/10/2011 10:55:19 PM |

Never used Airblade, but my question for those who have, is it hard to keep your hands from touching the "blade" part? I figured that thing would gather a lot of germs after a while. 3/10/2011 11:05:44 PM |

Yes, it's hard to avoid touching if you're in a hurry.
if you do touch, you're fucked and have to re-wash your hands.
it does get nasty in the center of those things.
I haven't located a drain yet
So that shit leaks on the floor if too many people use it in too short of time. 3/10/2011 11:14:20 PM |

I much prefer those xcel dryers that's like a jet engine in a box
No water left, no worries about germs if I'm in a hurry.
Except for that dude beside me who went directly from crotch to door handle. Then I still want a towel to open the door. 3/11/2011 1:11:43 AM |

I tried the Airblades in Vegas, but I prefer the excelerators. I'd rather use those two than paper towels now, but the old style heat dryers suck. 3/11/2011 10:48:24 AM |
