I felt bad for Flight Time and Big Easy yesterday, and was glad to see them overcome it and do well. I thought that was perfect usage of the express pass by Gary and Mallory...its kind of funny that they didn't win it though.

I imagine they tell them to try and calm their emotions and not cuss much on this show, or they just don't film those parts... b/c I imagine i'd be rather frustrated after making some of the mistakes some of the contestants make on the show...for example, driving 2 hours out of the way, or losing my bag

i'm sure there's a LOT of editing done to weed out the cussing. every so often something will get bleeped out because it happened during a scene that's important. all the other ones are sitting on the editing room floor

I second that - I can understand where being deaf can be a problem for certain things, but it doesn't mess with the taste buds.

i'm sure they are. there was a challenge last season i think where they had to try and pick out fake food within thousands of pieces of real food, and whenever they missed they had to eat it. i know a few people puked on that one without penalty

Did they ever say that they had to drink the entire cup of tea? I never saw anyone just take a sip which I did not understand.

Regardless, they were all probably shaking after all that caffeine. Mallory clearly was losing her mind from the caffeine.

In other news, why do the cowboys keep having so much trouble getting to the start of the next leg? Every time they fly they screw it up.

Like last week when they were the only team to take the 30-minute later arrival flight in order to avoid a layover.

When you can consider either taking a flight by yourselves or all the other teams, you should go with everyone else (at least the cowboys should). If they go with the other teams, they start on a level playing field and their awesomeness will help propel them to the top. If they go it themselves, it is 50/50 as to whether they get a lead or get way behind. Why take the risk?

I don't know...I wish we saw more behind the scenes stuff.... you know there HAS to be a BUNCH of just sitting around doing nothing...

and they also make it look like all the teams finish pretty much around the same time..i'm sure there are huge gaps between the finishes...

I always wondered if Phil and the native just sit out there waiting until they see someone or if the cameramen call in and tell them someone is getting ready to finish so they can get ready.

I always watch the next when the teams start and it says what time they start. Some weeks they are VERY close together (5 or so teams within a 10 minute span) and some weeks there are 1 hr + gaps between some teams.

haha i mentioned that to my wife (or i might've said cord, can't keep them straight). i'll still watch it, but it's just one of those shows where i'm guaranteed to get pissed if someone i like gets knocked out, while someone i can't stand wins it. at least it wasn't the globetrotters though
