Here is an interesting way to look at gas prices. At first, I thought it was just useless fun because no one uses those liquids at the same rate as people use gas on average. Then I thought of all the fatties/hipsters/idiots/really cool people who consume loads of bottled water, cola, Red Bull, and Starbucks coffees like there is no tomorrow, every single day. For them, yeah, STFU... gas isn't expensive! Also looking at people who confessed to being obsessive launderers in the laundry thread.

LOL at the most expensive one in the image below

Difference is that most of the things on that list aren't necessary for daily life. It isn't as bad in an urban area where you don't drive as much but out in the mid-west and stuff you gotta drive a lot further just to get groceries. Lots of businesses rely on trucking too which obviously is effected by fuel prices.

since this chart has liquids covered, who is going to make the equally compelling SOME SOLIDS ARE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN OTHER SOLIDS chart?

i am curious to see how the per volume price of wood compares to the per volume price of gold

nail polish is completely irrelevant to this. Whoever made this shit is a moron. It takes some people an entire year to go through one, even two bottles of nail polish.

If, in a single week, I used 14 gallons of any of the other items on that list then that chart may alleviate some of my concerns about the price of gas.

either way, shit is expensive and has definitely impacted my budget.

They probably took the cost of a pint of milk or something and scaled that to a gallon price rather than just using the price of a full gallon. Or used the price of organic, grass-fed, whatever-price-raising-adjective kind of milk is the most expensive.

Every time gas prices go up some asshole brings a stupid argument like this. Unsurprisingly it comes from our resident TWW terrorist defending OEPII1

The only one that I feel puts any perspective on this situation is bottled water.

Which is why I never buy bottled water.

The price of all the stuff on that list goes up when gas goes up.

And you leave Charles Shaw out of this!!!

I'm sorry but you reposting this retarded chart makes me lose all respect for you.

When i start consuming 11 gallons of nail polish per week it will be relevant but until then I'd prefer this chart and 11 gallons of nail polish be shoved up your ass.

Gas is expensive enough that it was one of the factors (though minor) for my company to change our weekly hours so we get alternating fridays off.

Stupid thread is stupid.

what, did pot cost you your job and your driver's license? Cause otherwise that statement makes no sense.

diamonds, gold, and i assume pot are all measured by dry weight

so, what do you think?

not that it fits in with a gallon measure comparison, but that sheds more light on the pot OP . . .
