I dont think they are to me.

I grew up playing and watching sports constantly but lets' look at the following:

Baseball totally sucks and is unwatchable

Pro basketball is rigged and college basketball is terrible and destroyed by teams caught cheating like kentucky, uconn, unc, etc.

NFL is on strike and college football is terrible and destroyed by teams cheating like USC, auburn, and UNC.

NHL is alright but just not worth the money or time.



Secondary sports have hit a rut now that Tiger sucks, Federer kinda sucks, and Nadal is no longer dominant.


Now that you've grown old enough to realize sports are for money not for kids and that cheating is rampant at the college level...

have you reached that maturity level where you care about the govt robbing you, the fed reserve destroying your savings, and Obama selling you out for campaign money enough that you are willing to shut off ESPN and follow the issues?

Important is a dumb word to use. Sports are entertaining, but not being ten years old anymore, I have real shit to deal with, so it's natural that they don't take up as much as my life as they used to.

Sports definitely matter to me...probably a little too much. But I've grown pretty apathetic about basketball after the last couple of seasons. I was not excited about football at all coming into the year, but that quickly changed.

I've never cared much about NBA. I really love NFL, but I don't really have a team. I like the Panthers but don't really care much about them. I just enjoy watching NFL games. MLB matters as well.

I think the roller coaster ride of being a State fan is more entertaining than the actual sports part of it.

I thought the motivation for this thread was going to be the obvious.

Once upon a time in a magical kingdom I loved sports. I was then grandfathered into liking a team known throughout the land as "NC State." I watched them suck for a few decades and decided I never really liked sports that much to begin with. The End.
