i'm not really 'knowledgeable' of much other than the engine in my truck, but there are guys with 300+whp diesel jettas, so that 1.9L would be primo, imo. The 4bt is a 3.9L, but it weighs... 600#+? I bet the Jetta engine is in the 300# range

For a completely different kind of diesel performance...there were a few diesels at the Lemons race I competed in a few weeks back, but one in particular was awesome and FAST. It was a Fiat 124 Spyder with a VW TDI diesel. I have never seen a car put out so much smoke and still complete a race lol.



It was so well put together it was kind of a cheater car in Lemons terms, but I couldn't help but love it for sheer weirdness. It passed me a few times and the sound was hilariously wrong for a race car heh.
