has anyone played this?
i have never played a game with more glitches in it EVER...
online: cool concept, except if you lag you can actually show up into the race, like 4 laps down, flipping in the air from getting hit or you in 5th place but the leader already got the green and is about to lap you...cars just randomly flip and fly across the screen from outside the stands, in some cases you can go down laps but never be passed by anyone. when you are waiting to get your 16 people to race, everytime someone joins or leaves it restarts the 60 second timer even if you have 16 people it still counts down.
offline career: boring, nothing special.
im not a nascar fan really, i just got it to do the online racing...
does anyone know of another game you can race against moderately big field online?
oh and this is a dont buy. 4/16/2011 8:08:12 PM |

ROFL that sounds amazing.
I had a PC game like 7 years ago called NASCAR Racing Season by Sierra. I've never watched NASCAR in my life but that game was amazing. I bought a USB wheel for it even. There were a lot of very active online servers and you could constantly race with 20 other people without any problems other than people being idiots (which was hilarious).4/16/2011 9:34:38 PM |

Nothing relevant to add, but I remember playing NASCAR '03 for PC really drunk in the dorms and getting kicked off the servers.
I was probably one of the idiots Vulcan91 is referring to. 4/16/2011 10:40:28 PM |

^^^ Yeah, but they no longer sell the game. It was indeed amazing. There was actually a time when the game was discontinued that people were selling for $100+ easy on eBay. Meanwhile, I bought the game when it was released online for like $25 (MSRP was $50). 4/17/2011 12:14:41 AM |

oh yea, you got those people who just go around wrecking you when you are doing good...and then you have those who drive backwards on the track. 4/17/2011 5:02:12 PM |

when i first heard about this game coming out I feel like i read that it was being made by some french guys or something and they said "We're just getting the hang of this, so we know this game won't be great, but the next will be better." Made me laugh and know that i wasn't buying it 4/17/2011 6:31:35 PM |

no, you do 3% of the race...so at most 12 laps at the smaller tracks, and tracks like daytona it is like 6 or 9 i cant remember.4/18/2011 1:59:13 PM |

^ Not quite.
We still do the Nascar Racing 2003 Season. They keep coming out with new Mods so the tracks and cars are current. Our points races are mostly 50% but we have done a few 100%ers.
IRacing, which is the latest incarnation of virtual fuel consumption, is endorsed by Nascar and is broadcast on ESPN and SPEED.
