I'm not sure what I think of this. On the one hand, certainly 1 1/2 hours between knowing the crime occurred and the notification is a bit long; on the other hand, I don't really imagine it would have made that much of a difference had it been sooner. I can't think of a single time any of the NC state mailings about campus crime made me avoid a class or a particular area. Maybe some people might have been a bit more cautious but over all, I sadly think the outcome would have been the same.
