Lookin for both a quality combo for the house/practice/noodling (old one just shat the bed) and a 100-120W head and 4x12 for gigging/rehearsal

Pretty open to brands and models but I can tell you now if it has TOTALLY FREAKIN' SWEET ONBOARD DIGITAL EFFEXZ I don't want it.

Whatcha got?

You will have a hard time finding it used on TWW but the Epiphone Valve Jr is about as much fun as you can get (perfect for playing around at home). And they are pretty darn cheap!

I might be up for selling my JCM2000, but it's only the 50W head.

Dammit that is tempting. I've always wanted to play through one of those. You think the 50w could drive loud enough to gig with? What shape is it (and tubes) in and what would you be askin for it?

^^ ill look into those im not familiar with the model

I have the valve junior head (not the combo) and it is hands down my favorite amp. As far as gigging is concerned in todays modern PA system era I would figure a 50w tube amp would be very adequate.
here are reviews of the valve jr:

well i'm not worried about it being loud enough, more curious about the difference in final tone/max gain

thanks for the info on the valve jr, i'm keeping an eye out on CL for one

after doing some research i think the 50w would actually be preferable

didn't think about it from a output volume vs. tube power ratio...a 50w head is gonna push the tubes harder for a given volume and get more of that tone. and i'm not worried about clean channel headroom so the 50w should be golden

I have a Peavey Triumph 60w combo that I would part with if you want it. I play my Hot Rod Deluxe about 99% of the time.

I have this

http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&q=peavey+valveking+112&safe=off&sqi=2&cid=165234236353347275&os=reviews

it's a beast - i originally bought the 100 watt head but it didn't push the tubes hard enough until it was fucking deafening, so i got this one instead. I'd be more interested in a trade than selling it.
