Aldo is having a huge sale and clearance event online. For men this is awesome considering we typically tend to pay more for shoes (in my experience). Anyone know of any other online stores that have awesome deals on shoes etc?

This reminds me that I haven't bought a new pair of shoes of any kind in about two years. Time to head to Zappos soon I guess.

Mr. Joshua, thanks for that I'm definitely going to be ordering something from there - I checked that place out some last night and they have some really great stuff and great deals

Sorry to hear about your bad experiences Tarun. CalledToArms, I havent been shopping in a LONGG time, like yourself, and zappos is a good choice. I came across them years ago but completely forgot about them.

zappos doesn't typically have discounted prices, but they do ship super fast & return shipping is free too. awesome customer service. shoes usually cost $5+ more than elsewhere though.

Once you have trusted brands that you've been wearing for years this isn't an issue. I won't hesitate to buy Merrell, New Balance, or Etnies shoes online, but I've owned 10+ pairs of each and I know how they'll fit. Everything else needs to be tried on first.

^^ I'm pretty sure I have more shoes than that.

Black leather dress shoes for wearing with a suit.
Distressed black leather shoes for the day-to-day at the office.
Brown leather shoes for the office.
Distressed light brown leather shoes for the office.
Merrell hikers.
New Balance 993s for the track/gym.
Old New Balance 993s for kicking around in the yard.
Unopened box of New Balance 993s for when my current ones wear out (they were on sale.)
Old hikers for kicking around in the yard.
Cobian Flip Flops
New Balance 574s for casual wear with jeans.
Etnies for casual wear with jeans/shorts.
DC shoes for casual wear with jeans/shorts.
Merrell Waterpro shoes.
Keen Boulder water shoes (pretty worn out; replaced by the Waterpros, but I still use them fairly often)
Keen Newport H2 sandals.
Boots for riding the ATV.

And several pairs of shoes that I never wore much, but won't throw out because they're still like new.

4x clarks dress shoes
4x vibram five fingers
13x keens
4x chaco flips
teva knee-high boots
rei backpacking boots
merrell barefoot shoes
converse red chuck taylors
2x cork birkenstock-type sandals
justin cowboy boots
frye leather boots
adidas trail runners
montrail trail runners

i know i'm forgetting some. i like shoes. a lot. the majority of them cost around $80 but the most expensive, the rei backpacking boots, were $225 & i've had them for 7-8 years now.

my brother really gets into the $300+ dress shoes though. he gets them at random little local shops & they're brands i've never heard of.

My setup is pretty bare bones.

1 black pair of dress shoes
1 brown pair of dress shoes
1 pair of running shoes
1 pair of hiking shoes
1 pair of sneakers/everyday shoes
1 pair of sandals
2 "yard shoes" (my last pairs of sneakers and running shoes)
