i don't know what the fuck. it's got this registry booster pop up shit. windows is popping up all over the place. all she has is norton. i was wondering if i could hit it with spybot once i download it.

ok. that's what i was thinking. she has the windows disks for a reinstall, but she has some word docs that she needs off first. i was just going to throw them on a usb hd and then reinstall.

what r the steps for a reinstall?

Go to slax.org. Two options:

Download ISO, burn to CD and boot. Once up with network. Go back to slax.org and go to the modules section. Search for bitdefender, activate module. It will have a link to register free for a one year subscription. Once activated, update definitions and scan. You'll need to know what /dev slax recognizes your HD as.

Same thing but you can build a slax iso from their site. Then download and burn to CD.
