Let all the Philadelphia hate commence.

If you were a real fan

a) you would have posted before the 30 game mark

b) know already that threads like this created after opening day get locked

That's funny. I also use those two things to determine if someone is a real fan or not. Small world.

I guess I should back them since I've been living in Philadelphia going on 2 years now. Still haven't gotten to go to a game at Citizens Bank Park yet. I will never back the Eagles though.

Philadelphia born and raised, go Phils. On a side note, how many people from PA do we have on this board?

not talking about them on the Internets for 30 games and not being a fan are distinctly separate imo. I just saw a bunch of threads for other teams and saw there wasn't one for the Phils.

Anyways, does anyone know where to find a stream for the Rangers game? I'm in SC and it was supposed to be on Fox but the Mets/Yanks game is on instead. I've already tried myp2p.eu

MLB is strict on that shit.

ESPNNetworks.com if you're trying to watch SportsCenter (or I guess anything MLB on ESPN) blacks out MLB. It's fucking ridiculous, if you watch the Top 10, every baseball play that comes up is blurred out. Highlights they put up the box score online without showing video. Terrible.

Cliff Lee third straight shutout game. First Philly to do so since the 50's. 33 consecutive innings.

Phillies still atop the NL East, and have the best record in baseball.

Phuck the Mets.

Boo to the Walt Whitman, Betsy Ross, and Ben Franklin Bridges going up to $5 though. Thankfully I don't go to Jersey that often.

making up for it now 14-1 bottom of the 8th so far. everyone with a hit but Ruiz and Hammels, everyone with a run but Hammels

Cry about it when it's $8, like what bridge tolls are in a real city like NYC.

Phillies crowd as a whole is pretty awesome. Selling out every game for two straight years or whatever is incredible. Braves crowds are underwhelming but consistent, not full of bandwagon dickheads. Every crowd shot at CBP has ten of the ugliest humans I've ever seen. And everyone remembers the Vet being empty as fuck when the Phils were finishing third every year.

Phillies and Braves are both going to fade a bit in the second half, I think. Phillies schedule is a lot tougher, though, and they play on the road a lot. Wouldn't be surprised if the Braves are ahead by a game when they meet up again in August. End of the year series should be wild, too.

[Edited on July 10, 2011 at 6:46 PM. Reason : Braves need a RHB in left, a healthy Prado and Moylan, and a lot less Lowe]

Point being, if they ever got it going again, it would be just as bad.

Boston certainly has set the bar so high no one can reach such a level of douchebaggery.

The Phils are supposed to have all of our injured starters back by the end of July except for Oswalt, who is said to come back in August. I'll give you the strength of schedule though, we don't play nearly as well with away but that goes for most any team but the advantage in Philly and the amount of time we've had there has been pivotal to our success thus far. I think Charlie Manuel has been coasting and that everything is going to come together in the latter half of the season for us. Howard, for one, hits most of their homeruns at the last half of the season (warm weather hitters). Utley is rehabbing well and Polanco comes back in a few days also.

Inside the park home-run by Utley, complete game by the rookie Worley, and a sick wall catch by Ibanez.
