Still going strong with mine, I hate typing on touchscreens and it serves my purposes just fine. I also like the size of the blackberry.

you do realize there are phones that are roughly the same size that possess physical keyboards, run more stuff, work better, and are faster than your blackberry, correct?

I'm still rocking BB and love it. As a communication tool it can't be touched by anything I've used.

The only phone that tempts me right now is the Droid Pro, but his keyboard is a POS.

In the long run I'll either be upgrading my phone and getting a playbook or switching ecosystems to WebOS - I fell in love with the pixi form factor, but it just needed a little more oomph in the processor.

I guess to some degree I don't know what all I'm missing because I basically use my blackberry for only a few things. To occasionally google something, talk, and text/bb messenger.

I'm simply saying that I've never had any complaints about it personally. I'm not against other devices, I just haven't come across one that makes me want to change what I've got going.

My one complaint about my Blackberry is its browser, but if I really need to be on the internet for anything more than googling items in my stream of consciousness I will use a computer.

The bold with BB6 largely eliminates that problem.

Posting from mine right now! It was cheap and I am mostly pleased with the features. I don't think I want a phone with more features or I'd waste more time messing with it than I already do.

Not really sure of any upcoming models that have a physical keyboard

Yeah my thumbs are much more compatible with the small BB keys than some touchscreen mess. I'd be fat-thumbing everything.

if you are scared of the touch screen keyboard, you just havent spent enough time with it. it took me about a week to get used to it and i type at least 3 times as fast on it now.

those tiny bb keys are tough bc if you make a mistake it wont correct it for you most of the time.

I love Swype. I was a master with the BB keyboard, but Swype blows it out of the water.

I don't know why people have such a hard time with Swype.

man, I hate Blackberries! I've never owned one, but they come into the store about once a day with issues. And they are so annoying to navigate around. It is so much easier to be able to touch the screen. Maybe one day Blackberry will come out with a smartphone.

Blackberries are smart phones. But really if you don't like black berries why would you hope they come out with something better? Just get something that doesn't suck

I'm AstralAdvent and i approved this message.

i have a bb

at the time my company only allowed our corporate email on the bb, now they allow it on droid & iphone but im on a contract

its actually not so bad. it doesn't do web for shit but i use the hell out of apps to get what i need done. and i can bbm with my friend in switzerland for free so i dig on that

i think eventually i'll go to a tablet full time and back to a basic cell phone. i figure that since i carry a purse i can carry the tablet around without issue and don't need a smartphone too

^^ because I have to fix them all the damn time and the old people need them. I will say that I like Blackberry a lot better than Apple though.

My contract runs up in October, I believe. I'll likely be switching over to Android then. I do like the BB keyboard a lot more than touch screen keyboards I have used...but swype seems pretty good and should help me out a lot.

I hate the trackball on my BB...always getting stuck.

I've got a Motorola Droid with the slide out keyboard. I never use it (although I thought I would when I bought it), I wish it didn't have that feature.

People who define themselves via what technology they own and use must have the lowest self esteem in the world.

To the person wondering about getting emails on a droid...I have the droid X and this thing notifies me about emails instantaneously. I email myself lots of stuff and most of the time my phone will vibrate before I even bother to hit refresh on the browser (if using a pc)
