Holy shit, I wasn't even sure this guy spoke English (because I knew nothing about him) and then caught footage of him testifying before Congress to standing ovation.
I have never seen the PM of another country come into our legislative chambers and be greeted with standing ovation as though he were one of our own.
This is very good for Israel. 5/24/2011 10:26:04 PM |

Yeah, not a good day for the Admin.
It took balls for him to do that, and it was a great speech. Good to see a leader make a speech with some actual facts instead of platitudes. He never once said they wanted to "win the future". 5/24/2011 10:32:46 PM |

The U.N. compound, made up of workshops and warehouses as well as offices, was struck about a half-dozen times over a roughly two-hour period while more than 700 civilians were sheltering there, said John Ging, head of Gaza operations for the U.N. Relief and Works Agency." |

1) Motherfucker speaks English just fine. 2) We've had foreign PM's speak before congress before. Tony Blair spoke in front of a joint session, I know, and he was well-received. 3) With any luck Israel is against the ropes. I've said for a while now that some POTUS needs to remind them where the purse strings are held, and that their continued prosperity is contingent on our good will. I hope Barack pulls those strings tight until Netanyahu (or whoever) shuts up and plays nice. 5/25/2011 1:52:30 AM |

America loves war criminals, always has, [hopefully not] always will. Needless to say, only those war criminals which further America's 3 foremost agendas, i.e., oil, Israel's security at all costs, and anti-Communism/socialism. Remember Ariel Sharon? He was a bonafide war criminal, who basically ordered the massacre of 1,200 civilians inside a refugee camp.5/25/2011 5:56:22 AM |

I tried watching Netanyahu's speech, but I couldn't get through the whole thing. It was just sickening to see congress suck so much jew-dong.
If Obama stands his ground, I will have vastly more respect for him.

No, Ariel Sharon actually killed civilians, like with a gun, looking right at them and everything. He orchestrated raids against civilian villages to force them out of their homes back before Israel was created, and continued that behavior afterwords.5/25/2011 9:47:02 AM |

Haha, the US displaced 4 million Iraqis by 2007. Documented civilian deaths around 100k, undocumented deaths estimated to be around 650k.5/25/2011 10:46:06 AM |

^ No. It's done the opposite, and even if it did reduce terrorist attacks, it would be completely unjust, because the amount of people the US has (or caused to be) killed or displaced has been far, far more than anything the terrorists are capable of.

What an irrelevant response. I was referring to the sectarian thugs and foreign jihadis that insisted on keeping Iraq a war zone rather than the democratic and pluralistic society the US and its allies were trying to incubate. If you want to blame someone for the vast majority of civilian deaths and displacements, blame them, if you have a tincture of moral seriousness in you. 5/25/2011 4:31:04 PM |
