I, for one, am getting very tired of the phrase "party people".

yeah if country music isn't itself a cliche, I'd say that guitar twang or pretty much most of the repeating male vocalists are

The beauty of country is that all you need is a guitar, a pickup and a scorned lover, and you're good to go

I'm not a drummer but the one that irks me is something that I like to call the "standard rock ending" Watch this vid for a pretty standard example of this horrendous plague

http://youtu.be/XzbdY_rPtjw?t=5m51s

also lmao at lynyrd skynyrd's stage visuals.

I read pickup as in the guitar was acoustic and they attached one of these:

You gotta love all the rock concert stage antics cliches from the 80s and 90s. There's the David Lee Roth style splits in the air from the lead singer. There's the back-to-back guitarists thing (Poison maybe?). There's the dualing guitarist thing where they play at each other. There's the thing where they crouch down and swing the guitar by their ankles, especially the bassist. I usually associate that with late 90s nu-metal.

sirens in songs. Anytime I'm in the damn car when this happens I spend the next few seconds looking around trying to find the emergency vehicle.

Also, I grow weary of the scratchy, vinyl-sounding intro into a modern song. It might have been innovative when done on Wish You Were Here in 1975 (and I don't think any song since has used it to better effect.)

I hate the 'drown out' of the song and the 'comeback' afterwards - Katy Perry and Ke$ha wears this one out.

You can thank "Hey Jude" and "Suspicious Minds" for that old trick
