the TV Series starring Christina Ricci, Kelly Garner, others. Written by Jack Orman (ER).
At first glance it looks like Mad Men in the sky, but I'm in no position to confirm that as I've never seen an episode of either - just a comparison I've come up with from seeing trailers of both. I'm not sure this is a show I'd even watch since I'm not big into tv dramas.
However, a few reasons it piqued my interests.
1) It stars Christina Ricci, who I had a childhood crush on. And I'd still bang her, weird shaped head and all. 2) I can relate to the setting, if not the concept of ubiquitous, hot flight attendants, an airline treating its employees and customers like people and not wild animals, and the idea that flying was once something that was enjoyable and a privilege. 3) I haven't watched a television drama in a while.
Reasons against:
1) It's on ABC, so it probably can't be good. 2) I can relate to the setting, but not the concept of hot flight attendants, an airline treating its employees and customers like people and not wild animals, and the idea that flying was once something that was enjoyable and a privilege. 3) Reason number two will depress the shit out of me and plague my mind with the impossible urge of travelling back in time to work in the industry during the sixties and ditch the dying shit show that it is now.
Any thoughts?

Oh, yeah:
The pilot airs (double pun not intended) September 11th.
Yes, I too did a double take on the air date. Bold move, ABC.

I'll give it a shot, but I'm not optimistic about it's prospects creatively or commercially. Also the idea of aping a critically acclaimed but modestly watched cable show on network tv seems fatally flawed.
