k, we tried charging it. it took some refrigerant. now when I press the ac button to turn it on it makes a loud clunk / click and a zapping sound like a open air electrical zap, and stays warm.

the compressor will spin a little up front but won't stay spinning, hence the zapping sound . . . 5/31/2011 12:49:23 PM |

You might be able to pull the plug on the compressor clutch and check the clutch resistance as well as any potential short to ground. 5/31/2011 1:23:10 PM |
