Really, most desks suck in general.

When I really need to get some work done, I spread out on the kitchen table, you know?

Post pics of desks you think suck or don't suck.

one of the trends in office layouts is to move away from cubicles and go with shared tables with separate quiet areas you can move to. i'm involved in a fit-out doing this and the old people are angry but the young people love it.

i have a big wooden desk with my computer in the corner, but i need the extra space for all of the blue-print drawings i have to work with. I used to use a drawing table, but now it just keeps my stack of pending jobs because i can't post on tww from it.

I like my ghetto L desk that partly doesn't work and was made in the early 90's.

My desk is solid oak. Must weigh 800 pounds. Me and two other guys here could just barely lift it a few inches off the ground.

I have a giant, heavy wooden desk that's literally just a large flat surface. I love this kind of desk. It's simple, not ugly as shit, sturdy, and has lots of room for all my stuff.

+1 for large, flat surfaces. The desk I had at my last job was a 1960's vintage solid wood affair with a plate glass top. 7 feet or more wide by almost 4 feet deep. I wanted to take that thing with me...

from what I could tell, it's like trekkies, except instead of Star Trek, it's Wild Wild West.

I want to wear a one-sie like the singer from the darkness and have a live grenade and go to some steam punk thing and be like "am I doing it right?"

I kind of like steampunk as a genre (Bioshock, Arcanum, Steamboy, Castle in the Sky, etc)

Even Firefly is heavily steampunk influenced

[Edited on June 16, 2011 at 12:49 AM. Reason : I wouldn't wear a costume though, unless it was halloween]
