I guess the interesting thing is that it's been relatively stable for the past 6 months.

You can play the speculative game with all forms of currency and it even has a name: arbitration.

Well first, the word you are thinking of is "arbitrage", not "arbitration", with is a legal term. Secondly, arbitrage is, by definition, not speculative.

Well first, the word you are thinking of is "which", not "with", which is a common preposition that can mean "accompanied by" or "in the same direction as".

I think this whole rally is set up by just 1 rich person who had enough money to dump $1 mil into the game for shits and giggles.

I think it will drop to $9 in one fell swoop when he is sick and tired. Then back to $6

If so, it's pretty sad the entire currency can be manipulated so easily.

It's garbage. It's not subject to open market forces, it's not widely accepted. It might as well be company script.

Just dropped to $12.50 like 1/2 of what I expected

^That is what is GREAT about it. Sometimes the downsides are the upsides.

Everyone is gambling. In order for the price to go up legitimately, someone had to pump money into it. If you are holding coins at the right time when a rich noob splurges, you win.

It's just like every other gambling game out there.

To me, $1 million is a lot of money, to someone else, it's not a lot at all. I'll be happy to take it if it's thrown at me.

start with signing up to dwolla

and sign up to mtgox.

It takes about 2 weeks to set up your financial validation to get coins.

You can try to cheat the system by convincing someone to send you coins over paypal, but people have gotten burns so much that practically nobody is willing to do the trade.

Or you could just use bitinstant.com , deposit cash into a BofA account and have your bitcoins in under an hour.

Lol, especially after reading the post above ^. Do not use dwolla for that.

If you're trying to "anonymously donate to wikileaks" or at least minimize your footprint then:

Use BI to go from cash -> mt gox -> instawallet.org -> and/or easywallet.org -> Recipient.
