I looked for it when I was in Wal-Mart the other day and there wasn't even an empty spot for it. My fiancee said that they only had 6-packs of it at Food Lion and there was no marked spot for it at all.
Are they getting rid of it? Anyone else seen it or not seen it?

Well I like wheat beers but if I drink a normal wheat beer, I basically have to take a nap after because it is so heavy. BLGW is good for drinking on a boat, playing cornhole or whatever else out in the sunshine.
I'm sure some people like fancy expensive heavy beers et al, and that's fine, I just don't enjoy them. And I'm not going spend extra money and drink something I don't like. But if you like it, that's cool. 6/20/2011 8:11:16 PM |

I've seen this junk everywhere. Pretty sure it's a summer seasonal so you should be seeing it around as well, particularly on bucket nights etc. 6/20/2011 9:27:04 PM |

I drink lots of wheat beer. I usually think of things like Porters and Stouts as "heavy". 6/20/2011 9:39:58 PM |

Seriously...im not much on attacking other peoples' tastes but blgw is a terrible excuse for a beer. It makes blue moon look like a good beer. There is probably a reason it's getting hard to find 6/21/2011 12:34:42 AM |

Bud Light Golden Wheat is like a bargain version of Blue Moon, which should work well for people that are fans of Blue Moon. Personally I hate BM and thus detest BLGW as well.
Also wheat beers are my favorites, and they're definitely not heavy beers. 6/21/2011 9:57:17 AM |

unfiltered wheat beers are really filling to me, so i get the 'heavy' description

Blue Moon used to be a good value. Not really my kind of beer these days, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna pay $8 for a six pack of it. 7/10/2011 8:56:47 PM |

My favorite part about Bud Light Golden Wheat was when it first came out they did $2 you keep the glass. I kept drinking until they ran out of glasses. I now have a set of six nice everyday drinking glasses. Wish I had more since they are great 12 oz glasses. 7/10/2011 9:45:54 PM |

greyb1, you should just have a nice whiskey sour. Bill and I had some a few weeks ago while playing cornhole and they were amazing.
Also, as soon as my family leaves town and I have time to brew, I'll brew you up a batch of a nice light hefeweizen.
