I stopped hearing at 18k also, but I'm thinking it might be the cheap speakers on this laptop. I'll have to try this when I get back to the office and have my good headphones. 6/26/2011 10:10:15 PM |

I faintly heard up to 21 kHz on my laptop speakers. Just as long as I can hear it or what?
Reminds me of 30 Rock and how Cerie can hear the app tone and Jenna can't. I can't find the video. 6/26/2011 10:47:29 PM |

waitaminute
I just cranked my speakers up near full blast and was able to hear all the way to 21kHz. btw, 20kHz is about how an old tube TV sounds when it's on
I hear *something* at 22kHz but it sounds like 18kHz (except not as loud). Not sure if I can count that. 6/26/2011 11:47:31 PM |

^hmm, shenanigans with this test then . On my work laptop I could barely hear at 16kHz and bmel couldn't hear anything, but using her laptop, 16kHz for both of us was all

You have to use speakers capable of reproducing the sound to hear it...
For instance my tablet speakers give up after the 15k mark.
Try using earbuds or nice headphones - not those pos white ones that came with your ipod. 6/27/2011 12:28:32 AM |
