BLUF:
1. Mobil gasoline makes your Mercedes shift more smoothly.
2. Avgas makes a good octane booster for your cat-equipped CLK.

omfg....

next up ... Jet A makes your car go faster...

clearly jets go 400+ mph so if you put it in your car it will do the same.

I borrowed dad's CLK and wanted to see what sort of fuel it needed.

@theDuke866
Rather would 100LL cause that much damage to the Cats if used occasionally?

^when i first saw this thread pop up from Duke, i thought it was about the story you posted.

Although this example is extremely ironic, I am against state dictating riders what to do unless it affects other people. I always ride with my helmet, but i feel like it should be personal decision. Government should only regulate those things that significantly compromise safety and comfort of OTHERS (hence the safety inspection and exhaust noise regulations), but what you do with your own protective gear should be up to you. Maybe the only caveat is that if you ride without helmet, you must have health insurance, or something to that respect, so the people that get a head injusry do not use publicly funded treatment

^the problem is, insurance usually have a maximum payout amount, so the people who are debilitated for life will eventually be on Medicare, which is a tax-funded health insurance.

which is why they shouldn't wear helmets and should just pass away during the accident rather then barely survive it.
