I have a traditional colonial style house built in the 1980s with the triangular vents around the chimney. Bats have been nesting in there for years, making a mess out of my attic. I love the bats, and want to provide a nice home for them by hiring someone to build bat houses to spec [b]for the type of bats we have here in NC. The bat houses would cover the vents (which are not needed) allowing me to clean up the attic and ultimately seal it.
I am guessing the bat houses would be about 24-30" across the bottom, and about the same height. They would need to be covered with siding to match the house.
Send me a rough guestimate of cost (if you are semi-skilled at this sort of thing you should be able to do this in a day, I would imagine...)

I might be able to make this happen for $14,500.
Probably better to go with ctnz71, though. He's already low balling this project. 7/6/2011 10:22:28 AM |
