This is sort of a "confessions" thread. I was hesitant to make it because there are always people who mock others for what they claim to see or experience. But if you have experienced anything out of the ordinary, list them here.

I'll start:


Back my freshman year of high school every time I would look at a clock it would read 9:11. I tested it out a couple of times, whenever I could remember ( this occurred over two weeks or so ). Well, the day of the 9-11 attacks I remember testing this thing out(and it was the last time I did). I had been sleeping in my science class and had remembered the game i was playing. I looked up, after having slept in the class, at the clock and it read 9:11. I didn't make the connection until the attacks were coined as the 9-11 attacks/tragedy. Coincidence, maybe, but it just feels good getting that out.

I also dated this girl for a short period of time that said she had seen a shadow creature at the beach.

the 9:11 thing happened for my roommate and i in college, too

but i realized that i looked at the clock way more than twice in a day, so i didnt think much of it, it was just a significant time of day that stuck out

In middle school sleepovers we would inevitably bring out the Ouija board. I would always push the mouse to spell whatever I wanted. "Wow, Charlie Tennyson has a crush on ME??!!!? When I was about 8 I went to a sleep over that had a ouija board. I was doing it with my bff and contacted a "spirit". When we asked him for his name, he spelled out the name of one of the girl's father in the room. Apparently, he had killed himself when she was a few years old. Neither of us knew the girl very well and had no idea of the suicide. That was freaky and I felt really bad and scared, especially when the girl started sobbing. We put the board up after that.

There was a weapon in EverQuest that had 11 damage with a 23 swing delay that everybody wanted.

We also played this game where we sit in a circle around a doll and stare at the doll while saying a chant. The doll is suppose to move and if it gets up and walks over to someone they die. I hated that game and the doll never moved.

Look, we all wonder if time travel is possible, right? Well, let me tell you something… it is. I’m from the future, actually. I know you probably don’t believe that, but seriously, I’m from the future. It’s a really great thing; getting to see the past, watching events unfold… stuff like that. We know more now than we ever would.

Behind all the fun, though, there’s a more serious aspect. We aren’t supposed to go in our own lifetime, and we are NEVER allowed to contact our past selves. my dad is very into photography. he's got a top of the line professional camera, and produces very professional looking photos.

my sister lives across the street from an old abandoned prison in Philadelphia, and they all decided to go visit one day, my dad with camera in tow. he took numerous photos, but upon developing them he noticed an odd cloud-like figure in all of the photos from one cell.

it doesn't look like a person or anything, but it definitely has a shape of a cloaked person.

the eeriest part is that when he took the pictures, and when he saw them on his camera, they were clear. but after getting them developed at three different places and seeing this cloudy figure, he decided there was something going on there. he submitted them to some photography magazine and they were featured at some point.

Anyway, on a related note, about 10 yrs ago my grandmother on my dad's side passed away (for simplicity let's call her grandma 1). A few years before dying, she was visiting us (she's from the middle east-- barely understood English). Every night she'd go walking in the garden/woods behind my house with my grandmother on my step-mum's side (grandma 2) and they would gesture and "talk" then come back and my dad would translate different things they had talked about on their walk. Grandma 2 passed away in September 2008. The night that she died, my dad had a dream that grandma 1 was walking with her in the garden again like they always used to. When they got back to my house, grandma 2 walked up to the door while grandma 1 walked up to the road alone, then shouted back "I'll see you tomorrow then!" Just at that moment, my dad was woken up by a call from the hospital saying that grandma 2 had passed away.

Every time I think about that it gives me chills.

the number of ghosts and UFOs i saw as a child was directly proportional to how much "unsolved mysteries" i watched.

at the end of one particularly disturbing week i went to stay at my grandparents only to discover my grandpa had thrown some leftover KFC on the fireplace to dispose of it.

i can only imagine thats what a crematorium smells like. i pretty much felt like haley joel osment the rest of the night.

I was taking pictures in Tintern Abbey in Wales with an infrared filter on my lens when I noticed a small white blob appearing in all of my pictures. I thought it was a ghost that was emitting heat until I realized it was always in the same place in the frame in every picture. It was just a pinhole defect in the filter that was letting light through.
