Quote :
"Juventus Football Club and CD Guadalajara will conclude their participation in the Herbalife World Football Challenge 2011 when they square-off on Thursday, July 28 at Carter-Finley Stadium (8:00 p.m.).

Juventus, the 27-time Italian champs, come to the U.S. armed with new manager Antonio Conte and five squad members from Italy’s 2006 World Cup championship squad (Alessandro del Piero, Gianlugi Buffon, Fabio Grosso, Luca Toni and Vincenzo Iaquinta).

Guadalajara also boast a bevy of players with Mexican national team experience — most notably Luis Michel, Jonny Magallón and Alberto Medina.

"We couldn't be more excited to host two high level, quality teams here at NC State," said NC State men's soccer coach Kelly Findley. "Raleigh is a soccer city with great club programs, a quality pro team in the Carolina RailHawks, and has been a traditional stop for the Men's and Women's U.S. National Teams as well the site for many NCAA College Cups.

"The opportunity to host this type of event here at NC State is an opportunity I am happy our administration took advantage of."

This match completes the Herbalife World Football Challenge schedule put together by CAA Sports and Major League Soccer (MLS). The Herbalife World Football Challenge is this summer’s multi-city North American soccer event featuring MLS and top international clubs.

Tickets for this match went on sale on Friday, July 8 and will be available at http://www.WorldFootballChallenge.com or via phone at the NC State Ticket Office at (919) 865-1510. Select seats available cash only at RBC Center box office."

How awesome is this!!! Juventus coming to Carter-Finley on a Thursday night. Tickets go from $30 for upper ends to $90 for center sideline, an absolute bargain! Considering the other host venues (almost all NFL stadiums) this really helps put us in the national and international spotlight. I'm definitely in, hopefully there will be a decent turnout.

Tickets were on sale at CF ticket office today. They had a special for the upper sideline $60 seats, buy 1 get 1 free. The line at the ticket office was about 90% mexicans, which is exactly what I expected, but it was fun watching some of them trying to 'haggle' the price of their tickets.

Lol, Herbalife.

I'd want to sit in the Chivas section if I went, because those dudes have to be fun as hell to watch soccer with. Bonus since I hate Italy.

Herbalife is a great way to make money by duping other people into believing that it's a great way to make money by duping other people into believing that it's a great way to make money...

Just browse around Google and read about some of the lawsuits. It's a bullshit product used as a catalyst for a pyramid scheme.

How many people are going to show up for this?

Bleacher seats = $30; corners behind the endzones = $35.

Midfield = $90.

the 3/4 view is one of the best for soccer

additionally, all of the diehard fans want to sit behind the goal because it offers the best interaction with the game (players taking corners, taunting keepers, etc.)

I see your point, but why then are they the cheapest seats?

Most other sports and most of the US will always see midfield/50-yardline/midcourt seats as the best and therefore the most expensive. Soccer is the one sport where anywhere is a decent seat to me.

Anywhere is a decent seat when you don't have to worry about seeing any action.

I assume this is already in some thread but did anyone see the Balotelli shot earlier today? Funny as hell and classic Mario. He didn't even bother listening to Mancini when he subbed him out in the next minute, threw a gatorade bottle and took off his shirt.
