I usually don't like newer hip hop but this guy is definitely holding it down. If there is anybody here who is into hip hop, he is definitely worth checking out. The album is really good overall and the beats are siiiiiiiiick.

Some of my favorite songs:

The album is completely free as well.

His album (or maybe a mixtape?) from 2010 "Big KRIT wuz here" is pretty good as well. Definitely a fan of his.

My favorite song..."Dreamin'"

MY Sub is the greatest rap song ever

My other favorite tracks are Another N.I.G.G.A., Dreamin, the fucking Intro, Rise and Shine, Sukey sukey, Amtrack, and Rotating my tires

every song is fire tho and the dude makes his own beats.

his knack for sampling is crazy, and the nigga dug up chamillionaire

^^^^both KRIT wuz here and returnof4eva are mixtapes, very very very coherent and polished mixtapes. im defintiely buying his shit when he officially drops an LP

fucking love krit

I think Return of 4eva is better than K.R.I.T. Wuz Here as a whole, but the version of "Country Shit" on Wuz Here is untouchable.

First five tracks on Return of 4eva are amazing, as is "Another Naive Individual Glorifying Greed and Encouraging Racism"

LOVE krit. Yeah, I too would rather hear some new Outkast, but since that ain't happening for a while this will absolutely hold me over. "Highs and Lows" and "Another N.I.G.G.A." are my favorites, but I really can't find any faults with this album. Like it a little better than "Krit Wuz Here", but that one is banging too.

There's a new Smoke DZA song called "On the Corner" that Krit produced and does the hook. Bun B is on it as well, definitely worth checking. Sampled a song by an old soul group, the Montclairs, called "Do I Stand a Chance", for those of you into that stuff too.

Oh, and how could i forget "American Rapstar"?? dude uses the word "tithes" in a rap song. Who in the hell does that? Genius!

Big K.R.I.T apparently dropping an album on 9/27 called "Live from the Underground". 9/27 has some good releases...J.Cole, Big K.R.I.T, Phonte (from Little Brother), and a few more decent ones as well.

^^ the "Pimp" song on that mixtape, with Bun B and 2 Chainz, has been in heavy rotatian the past week. Krit may be my favorite producer out right now, soooooo soulful.

I enjoyed this...especially My Sub, but I really REALLY prefer KRIT Wuz Here.

Awesome hype coming from the deep south for the last couple of years...good to see it.

Last King 2 comes off more as a bunch of features/remixes he'd done previously, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it

KRIT, Dom Kennedy, Kendrick Lamar, Dee-1, Nipsey Hussle, and Skyzoo have made hip-hop in 2011 a joy for me. I don't have to listen to dumb fucking shit like Carter IV or Finally Famous, and of the six of them, only Dom has charged for a project this year.

New Kendrick Lamar is excellent...one of my favorite hip-hop releases of the year, along with Random Axe and Shabazz Palaces.
