I have 215 qty (53.75 face value) 1964 and older quarters. these are 90% silver.

I have 8 qty 1965-1970 Kennedy half dollars. these are 40% silver.

I have 1 qty 1964 Kennedy half dollar. this is 90% silver.

I want to sell these all together.

from that calculator, it says the silver alone is worth $7 per quarter. OP, have you tried some coin shops in the area?

My "future" mother in-law works at a bank. An old lady came in, said she wanted new quarters. She gave her new quarters, and bought the rolls the old lady gave her from the bank at face value.

I have been collecting US coinge and old bills for a little while now. Unless you have a coin case, and box, or/and a COA you aren't gonna get more than 2 per coin, if that. That said, I'll buy the 2 of the quarters and and 3 of the 50 cent pieces for $10.

i guess that was an attempt at humor...

OP you will get at least $6 per quarter from from the local shops. I'd check to make sure you don't have ones that are worth more than their silver content/rarer ones. sell those on ebay, and sell the rest to a local dealer.

or the way the price of silver is going, you might wanna hang on to them for a while...

So you really think he is gonna get about $1600 for all of these coins?

At $2 a coin he looking at a pretty good profit and he should take that or just start his collection because he'll be holding on to them.

They will pay $6+ for each quarter.

I'm not sure where you pulled this $2/coin number from. I assumed you were just joking around with the whole "these things aren't worth shit, so that being said, i offer you shit for them" thing

You find any pre 1964 quarter and i will buy them from you all day at 2 dollar a pop.

Get on ebay, type in silver quarter. Or just go to cointalk.com and brush up on your coin-ology.

All I am saying is that if you are not in the coin business its gonna take a very long time to sell them all at the price you are looking to get. Most people have coins for sales for months before they even sell a handful, so for you to have 215 it would take a LONG time to sell them. If you can sit on them fine, obviously, but if you are trying to get paid in the short term, 3-4 weeks max, you gotta sell them much cheaper than $5. That said I am not trying to be a dick or an asshole, my offer is stated.

^nope. Look at ebay right now, completed auctions.

pre 1964 halves are going to get 13+ guaranteed
quarters are going to get far more than 2 bucks each.

Smaller lots seem to go for more per coin, but its a hassle to break it down into a bunch of dofferent auctions.

Selling for 5 bucks per quarter should be your minimum goal here(selling in big lots)

what the hell are you talking about? i thought you were trolling, but it's now obvious you're serious. any reputable coin dealer in town will give him ~$6 each. call around if you don't believe me.

i love how you're acting like an authority on this shit when you have no clue what you're talking about .

It was over $1,000 , local deal. Got a little less than 5 per. Which is a great deal for the buyer.

Man I was close!! Hey I was just trying to jew, but I would have paid 3.50 a coin for the quarters, and 5 for the half dollars. That was my limit for me being a non-dealer. I have been following coins for a while now and I knew what they were worth
