Anyone have any issues port-forwarding with the Uverse issued Router?

The model is 2Wire 3800HGV-B ....

I can get my remote desktop ports just find and I used to have port 80 forwarded to my web server. But now I cannot get it to open port 80 what-so-ever!

I'm wondering if their FW update disabled port 80 to be opened?

I'm sure if you look over their TOS there is a spot that forbids running a web or ftp server on your network.

Mine works, but I don't remember how I did it.
I don't use theirs now though, and have another router in the DMZ on the Uverse gateway, so it does all of the forwarding.

^Yea, that's what I'm thinking of doing now.

^^Maybe THEIR network, but surely not my own.

you can't get to 80 on your private network?

there are a few of my business DSL locations that have port 80 blocked for no reason at all other than spam or perhaps tos violation. 8088 works fine though.

it would be like expecting your server to run DNS on port 53 or smtp on 25. Hell they may even prevent you from running an ftp on 21. Just a theory.

have you called tech support? (not the tier 1 script readers, but a coach). Have you tried bridging the 2wire?
