I'm kind of a novice, but I'm going with a friend that knows what is up. However, where is a good place to go in Shendandoah Valley, VA? I'm thinking somewhere near Front Royal, VA might be good, but any suggs? We don't want to set a site up more than a few miles from parking, just want a nice site.
Also, we don't exactly have gear. My friend has a sleeping bag, and I have a ENO hammock that'll do, but if anyone has a tent I could rent from them, I'd love that. It's supposed to maybe rain a little, and being under cover would be nice I thinkI don't want to buy a Wal-Mart tent, but that is about my budget right now.
Thanks! 9/1/2011 10:19:09 AM |

Back when I was a student, renting camping gear was free at Carmichael. You had to book them a lot in advance before the long weekends though. 9/1/2011 7:58:06 PM |
