Opens Sept 9th.

Anyone else catch the sneak preview yesterday?
I thought the movie was legit and quite possibly my new favorite film of the year.

Currently sitting at 86% on rotten tomatoes and I think that will actually go up a bit as more reviews come in.

I don't want to risk giving anything away, but I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this film and highly recommend it.

I would've liked to see this if the first trailer I saw didn't spoil the entire movie completely. I mean I know most trailers give away the entire plot, but this one was pretty brutal.

*******************************spoilerish if you haven't even seen the previews********************************

I thought the same thing at first.
But then the more I thought about it, as soon as it is known that two brothers were going to be fighting in the same competition, it's a given that they will be in the main fight.
(that's just hollywood)

What great is, even knowing that going into the movie, and thinking to yourself "ok, I know this character is going to win this fight... he's making it to the final afterall, the fight scenes were still very awesome.

*****************************************************************

Let me put it this way, I've already seen the entire movie and I still want to watch it again. So spoilers in the trailer isn't that big of a deal for me.

At the very least you should rent it some time!

I definitely still plan to see it, I've heard nothing but good things.

And yeah, I guess it was pretty obvious from the start what the finish would be. To be honest when I saw the trailer it took me until about halfway through to even realize the movie was about two brothers. They look similar enough and I wasn't paying full attention. When I saw the clips of the final fight I did a for a second.

definitely checking it out if anything to support MMA in the mainstream

plus from the reports its actually a good film, and i see ground fighting in the trailer not just a karate movie in the name of MMA

how many "tap out" shirts did you see there

I think it has the potential to be a good movie, but I probably won't go so that I don't have to hear running commentary from MMA fanboys.

its just like any other movie, youre just as likely to hear running commentary about anything else.

its cool to hate on tapout boys though i guess. Youve got to understand that this is the first legit mma film release so of fucking course passionate fans are going to be excited to go see it. did you complain about the commentary of boxing fans you might encounter when the fighter came out? I hope not, the market is obvious and you aint better than no damn body

mr. clairvoyant.

people that talk during movies are pieces of shit anyway no matter what the subject is. the tapout shirt is irrelevant. Let us fans be excited, this is a big step. I should learn to use capitalization.

There are still boxing fans??

And I think you have to admit there are ton more mma "fanboys" than there are boxing "fans" right now. There's a lot more mainstream hype around MMA than boxing that would attract those types of annoying fans that would see this movie.

That being said...I could care less about that affecting my movie watching experience. I just seriously doubt I'll be able to get the gf to see this.

ok. I won't lie. At the preview on Sunday I immediately made a "tap out convention" type joke.

Just got around to seeing this and I thought it was awesome. Tom Hardy is good in everything he does, but enjoyed the entire story even knowing that they were most likely going to fight in the finale.
