the more tv i watch, the more i find myself rooting for the bad guys. i feel like the potential fallout and how writers handle it is infinitely more interesting than averting disaster and neatly resolving conflict.

I liked the finale. thought the show got better in the second half of the season.

^^ this didn't exactly resolve neatly though. I thought it was a pretty perfect finale.

To buy the house for Tom Walker to shoot from originally but it seems the plan changed once the CIA figured that out.

maybe there was a similar plot, Walker shoots people by the Marine One landing zone, Brody gets rushed into the safe room with everyone else

i agree it wasn't neat, which was good. i just don't want to be in season 4 and the main plot is still carrie trying to expose brody. i would've much preferred brody blow himself up and have s2 focus on the aftermath of the attack and nazir's next move.

I love that brody didn't blow himself up.

It's refreshing to have a show not adhere to to one Big Bad per season status quo.

Plus if he blew himself up we wouldn't have the brilliant payoff of Carrie saving the day but not knowing it.

I was hoping he would pull off the vest bombing. Jack Bauer wont stand for this shit.

Agree - Jack Bauer would've wrapped this shit up in the first two episodes and would be sitting on the couch watching reruns.

That makes no sense.

Brody was the only one in that bunker that new what he was up to. There were only 2 outcomes that could possible have happened.

1: The vest malfunctions(It did)
2: Brody pusses out(he did, after trying to fix the vest)

Had it been a test Nazir woud have no idea that he tried to flip the switch or if he would've pussed out.

He was supposed to say some Islamic words before hitting the switch wasn't he?

He never did that (obviously would have given him away) but he thought the vest was going to work, so I wonder why he stayed silent

So *if* it was supposed to be a test and he said the Islamic words Nazir would've heard and passed the test..

The 'Islamic words' I would assume would just be a prayer to Allah and probably doesn't need to be said aloud.

he was thinking the instructions in his head "say the holy words" or something like that

and any other movie I've seen (lol) the suicide bombers have yelled something aloud before detonating

he should've ran full speed towards the Vice Pres yelling "LA-LA-LA-LA-LA!" before he hit the switch

then when nothing happened, he could've been like "oh i'm sorry, i don't know what came over me"

FWIW on Brody's wife calling him Brody on the previous page, I think it's weird too

And to bbehes credit, I do know a married couple, the husband was military, met his now wife after already being in and she calls him by his last name. I think that's weird too but I've seen it IRL

Great first season, looking forward to more. I wish Homeland was on a different night than Dexter. It's too much to watch both back to back. I'd prefer them split up but understand they positioned Homeland after Dexter to win viewers

Just won the Golden Globe for best drama series, at least American Horror Story or Boss didn't win.

wonder if Dexter Season 6 won the "worst television series of the year" award since some of the critics were saying shit like that

Just finished watching the whole first season. Agree the finale didn't quite live up to what I hoped, but wasn't terrible. Definitely looking foward to the 2nd season.

And not sure if this has been mentioned but Saul is Indigo Montoya from Princess Bride. That blew my mind almost more than Uncle Phil being the voice of shredder in the turtles cartoons

Yes, because we should go look up every single person we see on tv or in a movie to see what else they have been in and what their character was.
