I would love an updated RTS-esque game....

But the poster is enough to get me dripping with anticipation. I had the original on one of the oldest Mac computers you could imagine - and eventually on the SNES.

Definitely worth downloading the DOS version or SNES rom.

It could have been a decent game on its own, but they shouldn't have called it "Syndicate".

It doesn't really do the original any justice.

I had the game "Syndicate Plus" ... I think it was the original Syndicate with the expansion pack on it. lol it came with the CD drive (4x!) that my dad got for my old 486 DOS computer. Fantastic game though, I still remember the opening movie scene and the music from the game. For some reason I distinctively remember the mini-gun being the best gun in the game.

Minigun was great, indeed - especially if you were rolling 4 deep with extra clips. I always had a penchant for the Gauss gun, however.

Wasn't there some kind of brainwash machine or something too that you could use to recruit civilians? And you could get money for bringing them in? It might be a different game I'm thinking off but I remember at the end of some missions I'd have a small army of civilians that I brainwashed to join my company.

There are heavy echoes of Battlefield 3 in this game.
