Only grips thus far is the slight delay on the preferred 2K game. Makes fast breaks a bit a issue, but hopefully it will be patched.

I made 6'8" 235lb SF Julian Hodges out of NC State who was actually drafted by the Bobcats in the first round (w00t). I might've gotten a little higher salary but when Utah was interviewing me pre-draft, I kind of let them know I didn't want to play there. I'm about 7 games into my first season, I think my rating is up to a 64 or 65, and I recently paid nearly $100k of my salary for a players only NBA 2K12 tournament to boost my teammate chemistry by a whopping 5 points. Also after one of the games (that we lost) a smartass female reporter said she had heard that some of my teammates were crying in the locker room. I called the bitch out.

who's got this on the pc? i'm considering it, but i havent played a sports game on the pc since madden 2004. i'm guessin with the xbox controller, the play wont feel any different. how bout the online community? lot of people available for games? and one question specifically about this game: does it have online team play?

afaik, there is NOT online team play this year...could be wrong but previously it was a Play option in the MyPlayer game mode, to take your MyPlayer and team up with up to 4 others and play up to 5 others (i say up to because the CPU would take spots if you don't have 10 people in a lobby)...haven't seen that option this year, dunno why, it was fun as hell

So I started with a PG in MyPlayer, wasn't bad. Then I made a Small Forward player and wow, you can dominate so easily as an SF. I literally put up a 31 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal on Pro difficulty in the Rookie Showcase. Might need to jack it up to HOF.

Rented this from Redbox before I buy, doing some myplayer with a power forward.

Why am I constantly double teamed in the post? I'm rated 63 overall! I mean it makes it easy for me to kick the ball out for an open 3 so I get lots of assists, but I don't understand the point.

It's almost certainly because I'm the player and the CPU is more likely to double the human player, so annoying when games do crap like that.

man i made a 3 point specialist...3 point skill is at 82 but i cant knock em down once the 3rd and 4th quarter comes around. i dont really like the shot and release that i chose but i'm not sure which set up is easiest to get the timing down.

Post moves are way better than last year. I could barely do anything in the post last year, this year I'm getting like 80% of my points from post moves, mostly the move where you push towards the basket and press Y.

James gets the ball about 3/4 court and shoots it, I jump up right in front of him (6'9 power forward with 75 block) and get a good shot defense bonus but he still hits it to win by 2

I played that Jordan legends game where you unlock that Hornets team SF was talking about tonight at a friend's house. I'll probably be purchasing an xbox tomorrow because of it.

Oh my god these teams are stupid.

I requested a trade from the 76ers who had destroyed their team with stupid trades and got onto the pacers as a power forward. We were playing pretty well before the team traded away every single big man besides me and a 50 overall 2nd round rookie center.

In fact the only other forward we have is Shane Battier. And that's not even the dumbest part, instead of starting me, the power forward, at center and Battier at PF, they start us at our normal positions and are starting a 6'4 rookie SG at center.

How do I get my player to set a screen? I know LB calls for a screen when I'm the ball handler but I haven't actually set one myself yet.

If you're a guard it doesn't get you many teammate points, but as a PF or Center it fills it up quick.

Any other tips on how move the teammate meter as a point guard?

I just filled over 2 full teammate grade bars in approximately 3 seconds to get from low B to mid A-.

My PF blocked a 3 point shot, ran down the loose ball, then ran it up the court and dunked while getting fouled from behind.

I got points for:
Good shot defense
Blocked shot
Defensive rebound
Fill lane correctly
Fastbreak score
Block/steal leading to a score
Good shot selection
Dunk
And-one
Convert and-one

my 7'2" center isn't great at hitting the shot to draw an and one, but he's awesome at drawing fouls by just driving and drawing contact on a layup attempt...I hit 17 free throws in one game doing that shit...39 points and 16 rebounds...then we lost in overtime

^increase your stats in offensive awareness, defensive awareness, medium range shot, shoot off dribble, shoot in traffic...play good defense...don't force passes...etc

my center is getting pretty beast...back to back games with 3+ blocked shots...and in one of them, my teammate grade was up to an A by the end of the 1st quarter

also if you want a better chance of making the all star team, winning MVP, etc, set the Simluated Game quarter length to less than the quarter length you play with...ie play 7 or 8 minute quarters with the CPU games simulated with 5 minute quarters...I'm 2nd in the league in PPG, only to my teammate Kevin Martin

You don't need to do ^^^, it is actually pretty easy on Pro/All-Star. Superstar and HoF is a different story, but you shouldn't be playing at that difficulty if you can't be an All-Star your first season.

Finally bought this game for PC (I just rented it from redbox before)

Basically remade my xbox player but made him a center instead and got drafted by the Knicks. The crazy trade logic actually worked to my advantage for once! Traded Anthony and Turiaf to Memphis for Rudy Gay and OJ Mayo. Then traded Billups for Kidd and Chandler.

Starting lineup is Me, Amare, Gay, Mayo, and Kidd

Real easy to get assists now. And we're only 1.5 games behind the Celtics for first place, and that's with me only playing key games.

Just finished my first season, was pretty boss. Was traded with Charlie Villanueva to the Heat for Chris Bosh.

Won an assload of awards, playoffs ended with a sweep of the Celtics and then a 4-2 series loss to the Hawks. The fucking Hawks.
