I know there are a few alumni in Virginia on this board, so I wanted to throw this out there:

Since Sunday at around 2:30PM, a 9 year old autistic child ran off from his parents (I'm not asking questions for now) and disappeared into a state part near King's Dominion off Exit 98 on I-95 in Virginia. They are still looking for the child and whether they find a live child or are able to get closure by discovering what happened to him, there is a massive community push for support. Starting at 0900, they are looking for people to assist in the search effort. I'm going to be down there around 1100, but if anyone on these boards is in the area, please consider coming down to help.

The hashtag for updates on Robbie Wood Jr is #FindRobbie and there is a profile that I *think* is operated by a local CBS affiliate @FindRobbie.

I'm working for a couple hours today then taking some personal time to go help in the search today. Like I said, at this point the odds are stacked against him. For what it's worth, they have had tracking dogs out, performed night searches with mounted police and search personnel, and used aircraft (knowing some of the previous operations that have been conducted in the area, probably unmanned aircraft) with thermal imaging.

Past couple of days they've had around 900 people show up.

Six days laters in the 40-50 degree weather without food or water..... they found him in a rock quarry.

He's been taken to VCU medical and is expected to make a full recovery.
