not up to date on nvidia tech, will both memory banks be addressable to games not optimized for sli? also, is there a non-3d eyefinity equivalent? was about to pull the trigger on a 6950 2gb with eyefinity 6 for $220

No only one memory bank is available when running in SLI. So just 1gig. Which is plenty for most games. You'll get better performance with the 2 460's than a single 6950. Although you should just spring for 2 6950's or 570's.

Depends. These are already heavily overclocked and you can push them even more easily. You'd have to get some good 6850's to beat them.
