They beat North Greenville in an exhibition game yesterday 79-41. Looked pretty decent, I guess?

For those that go to a lot of games, you'll probably like the change on the center videoboard. It will only have stats on it while the ball is in play. Replays will still happen and all that stuff.

First regular season game is on Friday at Noon. Every non-TV game is available behind pay wall here.

The volleyball team has shown a huge improvement this year for the first time in forever with the new coaching staff. Hopefully we will have an exciting women's basketball season too.

Took some time to get going, but pulled out to a comfortable 66-29 win.

Southeast Missouri State from the Ohio Valley Conference. I think we did what we were suppose to do.

The announcer on 88.1 said TCU's home record was like 64-7, over whatever period of time, so this is a good thing we did.

Women get back on the winning track with at 55-53 victory over South Carolina. The women play two more SEC teams on back-to-back Sundays. Alabama and then Vanderbilt. Game vs Alabama follows the men's game vs Central.

solid.

[Edited on December 4, 2011 at 7:00 PM. Reason : fun fact: women's crowds follow the noise prompts a whole lot better than the men's crowds]

any idea if you can just stay in your seat after the Central game to catch some of the women's game?

or will they make you leave and get a new ticket?

I doubt they've ever had to deal with folks sneaking into their games before, so you may catch them off guard.

1 ticket for both games, women start 30min after the men's game ends. Seating should be the same as the men's game vs Elon. i.e. GA upstairs restrictions downstairs.

it's really not that bad watching in person as you might think.

although juxtaposed right beside the men's game it'll be a little... underwhelming, probably

Femputer: What? Did you explain how the women's good fundamentals make up for their inability to dunk?

Ornik: Yes. They still laugh.

Femputer: The men must die.

I will watch women's tennis, volleyball, beach volleyball (especially beach volleyball), gymnastics, and even occasionally golf or softball.

But I'll be damned if you'll ever catch me watching women's basketball.

That said, GO STATE!

Lost to Richmond, but beat #20 Vanderbilt 66-59. Vandy was 10-0 coming in to the game. Women get a break until Dec 28/29/30 when they take on FL Gulf Coast/Alcorn St/Hawaii in Hawaii.

I liked it. Just hope you look at the tweets before they are posted for the next home game.

What do you mean? Like how they were cut off? That'll be fixed, just the text size was too big, or you mean because it's unc? They all have to be approved before they go up there, it's not just blindly put up. I put the whole thing together, it was thorough.

I was mainly referring to our next home opponent being UNC. I had a feeling the tweets were approved before being shown as with the packpics. I did notice how some were cut off and figured it was due to text size.

Wolfpack win 62-46. 3 game ACC winning streak. As easy as the men's schedule started, the women was the opposite and that tough. UNC Sunday.

We shot horribly. Very physical with not a lot of fouls called until we started fouling at the end.

UNC figured out they could attack us inside in the 2nd half. Don't know why Tia Bell didn't play some to help with size. Our offense seemed to bog down a lot and we would only get 1 shot each possession.

Yep, especially when FSU had to throw the ball between a wide open player's legs to give us a chance.

Highlight of the mascot game at halftime was Rufus throwing the ball and nailing the shot clock. Game operations didn't looked happy about it.

Our women seem to play really tenacious defense. They've forced about 7 turnovers in a row.

Also, this like like church rec league basketball

So other than the shitty effort, I think we've found the good solution for video/stats on the videoboard with Sunday's game

I liked the new setup. Would having both team's stats up with video in between result in the video being to small or not the correct dimensions?

I mean the video could be squeezed to any dimension I think, but the board is far too small to do that
