i don't know that it wasn't released in some previous year, but A Real Hero by College is the best song from Drive

Midnight City +1

Probably my favorite album this year, too. Also agree with a lot of the singles posted in here and would add to those "Honey Bunny" by Girls and "Pumped Up Kicks" (corny as it may be, its a pretty great single with a really catchy hook).

i can't go to any sort of party or social gathering without hearing that fucking song, and it usually gets played more than one time. i got pretty drunk a week ago at a friend's house and told someone i was going to start acting unpleasant if they didn't turn that song off.

Considering Younger than Yesterday is the best song on that album, you couldn't be further from the truth.

Strange Mercy is also the best song on...Strange Mercy.

DIRTY POLICEMAN

yeah, Surgeon is good, but the title track takes all....

Also, Nightcall was released in 2010. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nightcall
Still unsure of the French's obsession with that laryngeal cancer voice box thing (see: Air)...

All the songs on that Real Estate album sound very similar to me. They're good songs, but to me they're kind of a one-note band. I like them but I have to really be in the mood. If I had to pick a standout on that album, it'd probably be "It's Real."

Also, I was half-trolling re: "Pumped Up Kicks"...if I had to pick my favorite St. Vincent song of the year, it'd be mega close between "Cruel" and "Surgeon," but I'd probably go with "Cruel". I think they're both top 10 songs of the year, though.

And +1 for SBTRKT - "Wildfire"...that song is amazing

Favorite hip-hop single of the year was Big K.R.I.T. "Country Shit"...KRIT is underrated. As far as pop singles, I think "We Found Love" by Rihanna is a really catchy, interesting song.

Hadn't listened to those Jamie XX and CSS remixes, those are both really fucking good.
