edit title = Between Raleigh and Rocky Mount
My better half will be working in Raleigh soon. usually in 12 hours shifts, 3 or 4 days a week.
I work in Rocky Mount, 5 days a week.
Looking some where to rent near Zebulon/SpringHope/Wendell area that sort of in between. 600-700 is really max rent we want to pay so we can save up in the meantime.
Any good agencies/place please post it up!

^^^Lucky you sir.
It could be worse. He could work in Halifax County. If my house was closer to Raleigh I would offer it to you, but it would not be a savings in driving for your better half, as it is north of Rocky Mount.
Yea check on CL and Zillow. I had my rental posted on these.

I, too, work in rocky mount. I live in knightdale because my SO works in west raleigh (12 hr shifts, 3-4 days a week), so it's a nice compromise between the 2 cities. We pay about 900 in rent for an apartment, but I have seen houses/townhouses rent for around $700 near here. It just depends on what you're looking for. I like living as close to raleigh as I can since there's more to do here. 11/26/2011 12:43:03 AM |

^ how is traffic on 64/264 heading to rocky mount in the mornings? 11/26/2011 12:44:13 AM |

Fantastic... If there's any traffic, most of it exits at the 264 split to wilson. After that it's easy going. I've never had any delays on 64E in the morning, and I've been making that drive for 2.5 years now. It takes me about 40 minutes to get from the intersection of 540/Bus 64 to I95/US64. Is your SO a nurse? My wife is a nurse and has similar hours to what you described... 11/26/2011 1:06:33 AM |

I currently shoot up 301 in wilson to rocky mount. It's pretty nice, they just repaved it. Several stop lights and i have to go through the middle of rocky mount.

We have several people that come from the Raleigh area to our office for work everyday. They say most of the traffic is going the opposite direction. Not bad at all unless there's a wreck. 11/26/2011 10:59:43 AM |

^^ good luck to her!
^ yeah we have quite a few who commute from Raleigh/knightdale too. Most of them are the younger new-hires, as the Older people have settled down in Wilson or Nashville. 11/26/2011 11:39:37 AM |

I'm pretty sure I still have a shack in the woods off Sunset Ave. in Rocky Mount if you want to live there. It's pretty legit, lol

best advice: dont live in rocky mount! I was born and raised there, and that place is a hellhole. Someone would have to be paying me big time to live there again. 11/27/2011 10:19:28 AM |

^ I think so. There's a bunch of office buildings in front of it now. Those were all woods when we built it about 18 years ago.
She's holding up pretty well. 11/27/2011 1:23:11 PM |
