Warning: Something's Not Right Here!
http://www.thewolfweb.com contains content from dejaviews.org, a site known to distribute malware. Your computer might catch a virus if you visit this site.
Google has found malicious software may be installed onto your computer if you proceed. If you've visited this site in the past or you trust this site, it's possible that it has just recently been compromised by a hacker. You should not proceed, and perhaps try again tomorrow or go somewhere else

i got a virus today while on TWW... i thought it was from a link in a thread, but maybe it was from here i'm going to sign off.

It's absolutely imperative that you download ad-blocking software and avoid microsoft internet explorer.

I have Google Chrome and run Ubuntu. I'm more virus resistant than Magic Johnson.

That is interesting. I would hope qntm puts a block on dejaviews.org urls. I travel all over the site but I haven't experienced anything unusual.

On the same token, I don't want to experience anything unusual. I would insist that qntm take action and post progress of his findings here.

This is true; however it does have something to do with whether any executable exploits would be able to do serious damage.

Even if malvertising were created to drop a BSD-targeted executable, the architecture of BSD would make it less likely to successfully run and spread.

Personally, if you were going that route, I'd prefer OpenBSD

sure, but proper browser sandboxing is the correct layer for this defense.
