The strong cast and Larry Charles directing seal it for me. I heard Paramount sent Sacha Baron Cohen a goat when he was pitching the film to other studios to show him they were serious.

I, too, didn't find the trailer too appealing. I think Sacha Baron Cohen's comedy lies in the way he talks to real people and how they react to his hi-jinx. That's why Borat and Bruno were so popular. Ali G Indahouse wasn't really a funny movie, but Da Ali G show is great since he has guests on the show and stuff.

Exactly! When I see him interacting with regular actors or just acting ridiculous for the camera, the whole exercise seems pointless.

I didn't really like the trailer much either, but I respect that he's going in a different direction than Ali G/Borat/Bruno. There's only so much you can do with ambush comedy especially now that EVERYBODY knows who he is.

back in my wrestlin days in the hotel we would take the freshmen and invite em to our rooms to play video games or listen to music and shit before meets

then one of us would go "hey man you some potatoes?" they go "yea man sure" then one of us upperclassmen would go to out bag behind them and unzip it, then wed pull our nuts out of our shorts and squeeze them tight so that theylook like potatoes and we hand it to em and see how far they jumped
