It sucks that the Trail Blazers are so damn good and pretty well stocked with forwards. Richard deserves a call up, but I don't see it happening unless one of their 5 forwards gets injured

^^^ D-League players aren't tied to the franchise that they play for. The parent club might have first rights or something, but any NBA team can sign any NBDA player to a contract.

So as long as Howell keeps balling out he's got a shot. Here's to hoping.

Edit: Unless the player signed a contract with the parent club. I think Leslie is tied to the Knicks. Maybe someone else can clarify.

I think NBA teams can park up to 2 players at a time in the NBDL and still hold their contract. I don't follow NBDL enough to know Leslie and Howell's status. When a team holds a contract, other teams can still trade for them if they impress enough (and their trade value exceeds their value as a developmental prospect to their current team).

I guess Cam got picked up by another DLeague team. Looks like he and Fells are teaming up on the Austin Toros (with Josh Howard).

Also, CJ Williams and Brandon Costner are both on the LA Defenders

Josh Howard is in the d-league?? I thought that mother fucker retired. He was an NBA All-Star for christ's sake. Might as well play your final years in Europe and get some good traveling in while still making some coin.

JJ Hickson is putting in 10 and 8 this year in 25 min/g. Not shooting as well from the field and the line as he normally does...but hopefully he can pick that up.

that's pros (minus the quotation marks). but, yes, I saw that too.

speaking of Lorenzo -- the 6'ers are 2-7 since he joined the team. Not saying it's his fault by any means, but he certainly hasn't helped much

Playing that well, Howell ought to get a call before too long (one would hope).

While it's still effectively nothing for a pro athlete, $25K/year actually isn't bad when your housing is paid for and you get a food per diem.

Could be combination of bad chemistry & lesser talent. But it would be really unfair of us to knock top blokes like Wood, Howell and Brown on either factor. They tried their best for the wolfpack!
